Change? No Change?
Many of us are scared of change. Well, let me rephrased that, we are scared of change we cannot control. We are hungering to control every aspect of what happens in our lives and in our space. Many of us do not realize it is this need for control that is keeping us bound to
un-beneficial things and people. Change is good. Change is necessary. Change happens with or without you. Nothing stays the same forever. There is a constant variable of change. You have changed over the years, rather you wanted to or not.
Many changes happen just because it is time.
You were a child then a teenager then an adult, that is all change. You matriculated through elementary, middle and high school, that is change. You learned a new language, got a new job, moved to another state or into another home, this too is change. Change is good. In 2014, I see so many people opposed to change. They do not want to get older, so they lie about there age. Getting older is a change you cannot control, no matter how many times you life about it. I am seeing people who do not want to change friends. They are loyal to a fault because they are unwilling to see that there is a definite change in the relationship.
I am seeing people unwilling to change because change is uncomfortable. Change even at the most uncomfortable place is necessary. Even in our faith, there must be change. We have gotten stuck a "mustard-seed faith" but all seed must grow. Growing is change. The seed is to mature into a might tree. If my faith at seed point, can move mountains, what will my faith do a tree state? We have allowed the falsehood of change being bad to infiltrate our minds. We have to take back the right thought about change.
Over the weekend, the city came on to my block and began to take up sidewalk. The taking up of the sidewalk was the beginning on a change. Those who have lived on this block for many years, sat on their porches and complained and even yelled at the workers. The workers were not in violation of anything except coming to bring change. They complained about the workers, about the sidewalk and question why it needed to happen. Detroit, is in a revitalization and renaissance, which means constant change. Not just the big part but even down to neighborhood blocks. So, every time workers should up, the neighbors would sit on their porch to watch the workers do what they were assigned to do. Staring at them like they were bring a "plague" into the neighborhood. I questioned inwardly, "Why are we, as a people, so opposed to change?" Now, I can look out my window and see the finish product. The sidewalk has been relaid and it looks nice. The change was for the better. Some of the sidewalk had begun to buckle and was an obstacle to walk on, now it is all smooth and laying flat.
Yes, this change was good but it came with opposition. I see this a lot when people come to Christ. There is opposition from family and friends and even other sources, when your change begins. They do not see the finish product, so they think the work is unnecessary. They do not understand that the change you are going through is for your own better. This opposition sometimes cause people to stop in the midst of the process. So you are nowhere near where you were and now you are nowhere near where you should be. Never forget, change is a process. Somethings are seen immediately and others are over time. A butterfly did not start out that way, there had to be a change. A car does not always look like a car, there is a process of change before you can go to a lot and get a car. You are a CONSTANT CHANGING ORGANISM. Yes, you are constantly changing. From your nails getting longer, hair growing, hair changing colors, etc, you are always chaining. Do not oppose it because it is uncomfortable or because society is not for it. Your changing makes you better. Do not fear change, change is one of the best things you can ever receive.

The Painting
The Painting
It is as if It just appears before your eyes
Colors, so vibrant and radiant
The strokes careful placed
The detail extraordinary
The framing is priceless
This painting before your eyes is captivating you
It is stealing your heart
It is almost like this painting knows you
It has your favorite colors
It flows as if you are thinking
However, as you continue to look
All of a sudden, the painting begins to morph
It is taking on what is not pleasing to your eye anymore
You no longer like the picture but you cannot stop looking at it
The painting is taking on a life of its own
The painting's artist is very meticulous
He has study the subject well
He knows everything he feels he should to replicate a masterpiece
The painting was his offering to you
The painting was giving to make you feel comfortable
But now that same offer is causing the opposite
The painting as vibrant and radiant is now dreary and lifeless
And implanted in your head
In retrospect, the painting was not flawless
The painting had many mistakes
But the initial radiance overshadowed the mistakes
Now the painting is stuck in your mind and you cannot let it go
All you seem to think about is the painting
How it started one way and morphed into something else
The painting, my friend, is a weak attempt to make you fearful
It was given to you to cause you to doubt
to cause you to fear
Because it does not look like the beginning painting
The artist is a fraud, he can only do mock ups, nothing real comes from him
He presents paintings as imaginative pieces but hides the flaws
However, there is an Artist
When He paints it is flawless, no question about it
What He paints before your eyes becomes reality that you live
He can only make originals and guess what
YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PAINTINGS, An Original Masterpiece.

Awake!
The culture of the world and the culture of the church have tried to marry. From secular songs as worship, to compromise within leadership structure, the two opposing sides of living have tried to become one. The world does not need a like-minded church to bring it freedom; it needs the Christ-minded church. We have allowed the warnings of past generations and prophets to go unheard and ignored. We never realized the agendas of the world would infatuate and influence the house of God as it is doing in the 21st century. It is time for us to AWAKE and OBEY the Father like never before.
The church has allowed the world to influence it when it should be the other way around. The church is the light of the world, we are to be giving direction, instruction and purpose to the world. We should not be influenced by the darkness that has penetrated those who are living sinful lives. The church is the salt of the earth, we are to preserve and to season the earth with the glory of the knowledge of the Lord. We are not to be entangled with un-savoured seasoning and calling it "innovative".
We have taken a nap to righteousness and have been awakened to carnality. Carnality deals with all things flesh. God is SPIRIT and He created us SPIRIT. We must have personal and corporate AWAKENINGS to His Spirit and His righteousness. He has called us into right-standing with Him. He has reconciled us through Christ as well as put a requirement of HOLINESS upon us. Until we awake to righteousness, many will not know the Knowledge of God.
We cannot live a life of a little for God and a little for flesh and call it holiness. Holiness is not a denomination but a lifestyle. Holiness is living consecrated for an intended purpose for the Lord. Holiness is more than wearing white on the outside but it is having the right spirit, a clean heart and clean hands before the Lord and His people. Those living a life of holiness unto the Lord should also become a living epistle read of all men in the earth. A lifestyle of holiness is one of obedience, faith, preserving, endurance, love and manifesting fruit of being with the Father. A lifestyle of holiness can be seen by those in the world without opening your mouth. The Father is HOLY and so should His sons be!
AWAKE! GET UP! It is time out for the CHURCH being drunk with sin. Sin is the liquor of flesh. Sin is rooted in control and pride. It makes you feel like you control your own destiny Doing things your own way but it all leads to death. Sin is very prideful. It boasts at how good it is at doing wrong. Sin wants you to be the best at what you do, so it brags about the ability of itself. Sin strives on deception, flesh, perversion and self. Sin is what separated man from God. Now, God is calling men to GET UP from their drunken state and return to sober minds. We are, all men, were separate from God and now have opportunity to be restored and adopted into His family. Many of us have allowed the deception of sin to convenience us that we are no good and of no value to God. LIES! God has always seen value in you or He would have never redeemed you. Redemption is paying the cost for your sins that you would not be punished. Come from that drunken state of sin, glorying in your flesh and living only to satisfy self and receive the promises of the Lord.
Awake to HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and SIN NOT! You do not have to sin. You can live without sin. Sin is not your friend. Sin is a drug that is killing you daily. Sin has you working knowing you will have to soon pay with your life. But Christ Jesus, our Mediator, is interceding for you. He is waiting to take you in, clean you up and protect you from the dangers of sin. A life without sin is possible just not within yourself. Christ, is PERFECTION, when you receive Him, he deposits Himself within you and He will guide you.
Awake, be revived, be quickened to the Lord and allow Him to make you righteous, holy and perfect. Stop relying on your own strength. You cannot be holy on your own, only in Christ. You cannot be perfect alone, only in Christ. You cannot be righteous own, only in Christ. So maybe the verse is true:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (Second Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
Notice the verbiage; "any man be IN Christ". This is a literal position. We have to take our place in the "anointed one". We have to take our place in the resurrected one. We have to take our place in the ascended one. For it is only in Him, the FirstFruit of our Father, that we become "the Righteousness of God". Righteousness is not only our way of life but also it is our identity.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (Second Corinthians 5:21 KJV)
Many do not know the knowledge of God because of our napping to our identity. We must now GET UP and fulfill the assignment of the one who sent us. We must be righteous that the world may see a difference in us. A world that sees the church as it sees itself will never be drawn to Christ. This is spoken to our shame.
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (Second Corinthians 6:16-17)
The Father is expecting each of us that calls on Him and His son to be delivered. We have to be different. We have to be changed. We have to be transformed. We cannot fellowship with darkness. We must impede darkness. We have to be separate, another meaning for holy, unto the Lord and then He can send us where He has graced us with power to BE HIS WITNESSES (Acts 1:8). We cannot claim holiness and still fellowship with sin. Sin and righteousness are not friends. Righteousness should be complying men to give their lives to Christ not compromising for friendship sake.
Righteousness is not stuck up but it is loving. It is with righteous love that the world will be delivered from itself. Righteousness embodies the light of the Lord. Righteousness is a reconciler, a restorer, a healer....This is way we must be awakened to righteousness.
Again, I say AWAKE!

Rain
As I breathe, I smell the freshness of the rain
I feel encapsulated by the wetness of the drips
I am drenched in the productive nature of the rain falling
The sky is releasing a miraculous mist and I am receiving
The rain is coming down
The rain is washing away
The rain is causing growth THE RAIN!
As a child I thought rain was the tears of my Heavenly Father
Now as an adult I see the rain for it's multi-facet nature
Rain, I love the sound, the feel, the change it brings
Rain, fresh and clean
The drops hitting the ground
The drops covering the grass
The drops flooding the streets
Rain, so powerful yet so gentle
A downpour or just a drizzle
Rain, the fantastic drops of the sky
Rain, against my skin, running down my hair
Rain, my dance partner because I am dancing in the rain
As I breathe, I smell the rain
As I walk, I embrace the rain
Father, send the shower of Blessings and the showers of Blessing
Rain, dancing on pavement, speaking a foreign language
only interpreted by those in-tune with the heartbeat of the Rain Maker
Rain!
